M.A.G.I. (Make a Godly Impact)

Life Community Church missionaries, Jorge and Bremelly Luna, are serving in Honduras.  This year, we are partnering with them through Healing Hands International to help with the M.A.G.I. Project. The acronym M.A.G.I. stands for “Making a Godly Impact.”

Please visit this website for more information: www.hhi.org/magi

Also, watch this short video: http://www.hhi.org/media/videos/journey-one-box

Boxes must be collected before Oct. 1st in order for them to be sent out and received by Christmas.

A sign-up sheet will be sent out via Sign-up Genius.  This will make it easier for everyone to see the items we need, and also ensure that we do not bring in too many of the same things.

There will be a $7 donation/box to help with the shipping fees.  We will NOT place money inside the boxes this year; instead, give your $7 donation to the church and earmark it “MAGI box.”  Then LCC will write one check and turn it in to the Nashville drop-off location with all of our boxes.

This year, our goal is 200 boxes!!!!

Please sign-up and begin collecting and storing items at your house.  We will have our church-wide M.A.G.I. party on Sunday, September 17th, from 5-7 pm.  We will be providing a taco bar from Campo Azul!  We will also provide the boxes,  boy/girl labels, and rubber bands.  All you have to do is come and bring the items that you signed up to bring.  We will have different tables for you to place your items.  Then grab something to eat, we’ll welcome everybody and give you some instructions, and then your family can get busy assembling the boxes! Around 6:45, we will close out our evening together with a time of prayer for missionaries Jorge and Bremelly, along with all the children receiving boxes.

This is a great opportunity to do as a family and to model generosity for our children, so we hope you will be a part of this exciting evening!
