We are so excited as a church to partner with parents as you disciple your student in their relationship with Christ. As followers of Jesus, we are called to make disciples, helping others see Jesus. We hope to do this through our relationship with your students through helping them Know Jesus, Grow in their relationship with Him and Do His will.
The years of middle school and high school are a turning point where students make decisions that can affect the rest of their lives. We want to help students see the big picture of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and choose to follow Him forever.
In the Bible, we see that Jesus leads through relationship. We hope that the Student Ministry at Life Community provides opportunities for students to spend time with adults who will speak the Gospel into their lives, while also helping them develop relationships with Christians their own age. Paul talks in Hebrews 10:24 about Believers motivating one another towards a life that honors Christ. While we lead students personally, we will foster friendships between students so they can challenge one another. We do this through three major avenues:
- Wednesday Nights: We meet each Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00pm for a time of fun, teaching in God’s Word and small groups to discuss how it applies to our lives. Starting in November, the lessons on Wednesday nights will coordinate with what we are studying church-wide.
- Fun Activities: Occasionally we will do things together as a group, just to spend time hanging out and getting to know each other!
- Trips: We take two retreat trips each year: a Winter Retreat to Gatlinburg, TN and a Summer Retreat experience during the summer. These are great experiences for your students to come in contact with great teaching and focused time on the Lord.
We love our students because Christ loves us. His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection has changed our lives and we want to see our students come to know and love Him as well.
