WHAT TO EXPECT
We are excited your are considering joining us on a Sunday morning at Life Community Church! Here are some questions you may be asking about visiting us for the first time.
Service Times 9:00AM + 10:45AM
How do I find the church?
Our address is 7240 Nolensville Rd, Ste 207.
Life Community is at the back of the parking lot behind Martin’s BBQ, close to the new Vanderbilt Clinic on Oldham Drive. There is a main entrance and also a separate Kids Life entrance, where you can sign in your children.
How do I sign in my kids?
All children are checked in to the children’s ministry before the service starts (look for the exterior door marked “Kids Life.”) Children will receive a name tag and parents will receive a matching tag for pick up. After signing kids in, children in grades 1 – 5 will attend worship in the sanctuary with their parents before being dismissed to their Sunday school class (teachers will walk students to their classes when it is time). Kindergarteners, toddlers and infants will remain in their classrooms for the entire church service and will be picked up when the service has ended.
What will my kids do while I’m in church?
At Life Community Church, we tell our students and children, “Your faith life starts now!” We believe that our time on Sunday mornings is not childcare; it is an opportunity to help our youngest believers to learn to love, worship, and follow Jesus. We strive to engage our children with worship, giving, and opportunities to learn and memorize God’s word. For more specific information about our children’s ministry click the button below.
What do my middle/high school students do?
Sixth through twelfth graders attend the church service with adults in the main sanctuary, giving them an opportunity to discuss the sermons with their parents and worship in a corporate setting.. We also have a vibrant student ministry that meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm, where we offer opportunities for students this age to engage with their faith in small and large group settings. What should I wear?
The attire at Life Community is about as diverse as our congregation. Some folks like to dress up while others keep it very casual. While most members do not wear suits and ties, it is common to see everything from dresses to jeans. Come as you are and wear whatever makes you comfortable and ready to worship.
What is the music like?
We worship with contemporary worship songs, selecting music that we hope will help you to express praise and honor to God.
Do you have communion?
Life Community facilitates The Lord’s Supper once a month in remembrance and celebration of Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross. It is a time for believers to worship and give thanks for forgiveness of sin and new life in Christ. It is an “open table” distribution of the elements for those who choose to participate, and it is open to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
